Explore the ‘Tiger State’ on this tour – home to amazing wildlife, finest forest reserves, rich culture & a paradise for food lovers.
Day 1 Bhopal – Bhojpur – Pachmarhi (2 Nights)
‘Joining & Leaving Tour’ Guests will meet at the Bhopal Airport as per the guidelines given. Upon arrival at Bhopal, guests will meet the IND Travels Manager. Then we proceed to Bhojpur – a town of historical and religious importance, where we visit the Bhojeshwar Temple. Later we visit the Bhimbetka caves – home to some of the oldest cave paintings known to man. Further, we proceed to Pachmarhi. Upon arrival, we have a short Meet n Greet session before dinner.
Day 2 Pachmarhi
Today, we explore the wonderful hill station of Pachmarhi by visiting the Jatashankar Temple, Bada Mahadev Temple, Priyadarshini Point, Pandav Gufa, Gupt Mahadev Temple and Handi Khoh (A grand valley with several 300 feet towering cliffs on either side amidst dense forests). Later we visit the Rajendra Giri Sunset Point to view a fabulous sunset.
Day 3 Pachmarhi – Jabalpur (1 Night)
Today, we head to Jabalpur – one of the most famous cities in Madhya Pradesh along with being a major centre for the production of arms, ammunition and an important military base in India. Upon arrival, we visit Bhedaghat to view the majestic Dhuandhar Falls – a beautiful, white, frothing waterfall on the Narmada River. We also enjoy a boat ride along the spectacular marble rocks adorning the banks of this sacred river.
Day 4 Jabalpur – Amarkantak (1 Night)
We further carry on the journey towards Amarkantak and upon arrival we visit Narmada Ugam Complex, Narmada Kund from where the holy river Narmada originates. We also visit some famous temples like Prachina Temple and Shri Yantra Temple.
Day 5 Amarkanatak – Bandhavgarh (2 Nights)
Today, let’s head towards Bandhavgarh National Park! Here’s a national park with an abundance of biodiversity and where the density of the tiger population is one of the highest known in India.
Day 6 Bandhavgarh
Today, we visit Bandhavgarh National Park and enjoy the morning as well as the evening Jungle Safaris at this wonderful tiger reserve. Later in the evening, we enjoy a lively tribal folk dance with campfire – a unique experience when you are in the forestland.
Day 7 Bandhavgarh – Khajuraho (2 Nights)
Today, we set forth to Khajuraho – home to the world-famous Hindu & Jain temples, well-known for their architecture, sculptures and which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site in India. In the evening, we enjoy a spectacular sound & light show in Khajuraho.
Day 8 Khajuraho
Today, let’s explore Khajuraho! We visit Kandariya Mahadeva Mandir – the largest and the most ornate medieval temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Chitragupta Temple – the 11th century Sun Temple & Jain Temple.
Day 9 Khajuraho – Orchha – Jhansi – Gwalior (2 Nights)
Today we proceed towards Gwalior – home to the majestic hilltop fort, also described as India’s ‘Pearl of Fortresses’. On the way, we visit Orchha Fort – a medieval fort situated on the seasonal island of Betwa River in Orchha, one of the popular forts in Madhya Pradesh. We also visit Jhansi Fort – A historical landmark built in the 17th entury which bore witness to the fiery battle led by Rani Laxmibai, also known as Jhansi Ki Rani.
Day 10 Gwalior
Today, we explore the city of Gwalior! We visit Sun Temple, the elaborate Jai Vilas Palace and the massive sandstone fort – Gwalior Fort – which is a prestigious icon of the city.
Day 11 Gwalior – Sanchi – Bhopal (1 Night)
Today, we move towards Sanchi – an UNESCO world heritage site and home to the world famous Buddhist monument- Sanchi Stupa. Upon arrival, we visit the Stupas, monasteries, temples, pillars adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures. We then proceed towards Bhopal and by evening we reach this capital city of Madhya Pradesh.
Day 12 Bhopal – Ujjain – Indore (3 Nights)
Today we visit Ujjain to witness the religious vigour of the devotees along the banks of the Shipra River. Ujjain is an ancient city and an important Hindu pilgrimage destination in India. Upon arrival, we enjoy a lovely tour of the holy city which includes visit to the Kaal Bhairav Temple, Mahakaleshwar Temple, Sandipani Ashram, Bada Ganesh and Harsiddhi Mata Temple.
Day 13 Indore – Mandu – Indore
Today, we explore Lal Baag Palace at Indore – a lavish 19th-century palace of the Holkar dynasty. We further head to Mandu – a fortress town well known for its architecture. Upon arrival, we visit Baz Bahadur’s Palace, Jahaz Mahal, Jami Masjid and Rani Roopmati Pavilion.
Day 14 Indore – Maheshwar – Omkareshwar – Indore
Today we proceed to Omkareshwar – one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva in India, situated on an island said to be in the shape of the Hindu symbol of ‘Om’. We also visit the town of Maheshwara to explore the exquisite riverside temples at this site. In the evening, we enjoy a fun get-together with our travel companions.
Day 15 Departure from Indore
