Tour Highlights
Day 1 Srinagar – Pahalgam (1 Night)
Kashmir Vaishnodevi Tour (IFLY) guests will report at Chhatrapati Shivaji Domestic/International Airport-respective airline terminal, two hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time.
After collecting the snacks hamper from IND Travels Airport Representative and completing check in formalities, guests along with IND Travels Manager will travel to Srinagar – known as Heaven on Earth, is the summer capital of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Joining & Leaving (J&L) Tour guests will directly join at Srinagar Airport as per the scheduled group flight arrival time. J&L Tour guests who have already reached Jammu & Kashmir can meet the scheduled group as per the guidelines given by IND Travels Manager.
Upon arrival, IND Travels Manager will meet all tour guests and proceed to the Pahalgam – known as the ‘Valley of Shepherds’, is a scenic hill station in Kashmir where many Bollywood movies have been shot.
In the evening, all IND Travels guests will have a short Meet & Greet session.
Day 2 Pahalgam – Srinagar (3 Nights)
Today we proceed to Srinagar. Enroute we drive pass the Pampore Saffron fields. The Lidder river flows along our route and literally accompanies us all the way to Srinagar. We visit Aru Valley – A fascinating valley with scenic meadows, peaks and lakes. It’s so picturesque that it is sure to mesmerise anyone. As you enjoy the heavenly beauty of Aru Valley, you can also capture the memories by photographing yourself at the photo studios of Pahalgam in traditional Kashmiri outfits on your own. Later we visit the Avantipura ruins – remnants of a number of ancient Hindu temples, constructed by King Awanti Varman who ruled Jammu and Kashmir during the 9th Century and Cricket bat factory.
Day 3 Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar
Today we do a full day excursion to Gulmarg – known as ‘The Meadow of Flowers’, is a majestic hill station encircled by the lofty Himalayan Peak. Enroute we see the apple orchards. Upon arrival in Gulmarg, we visit Khilanmarg by the longest Cable Car which takes us to the Affarwat snow point. Later we see the picturesque 18-hole golf course. Enroute we visit the Carpet Factory outlet. In the evening we proceed to Srinagar.
Day 4 Srinagar
Today we explore Srinagar city, we visit Shankaracharya Temple – an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is well known as the site where the famous saint Adi Shakaracharya attained enlightenment. Later we enjoy Shikara ride in Dal Lake, followed by a visit to Island of Char Chinar – an island in the Dal Lake which is known for its 4 majestic Chinar trees. Here you can photograph ourselves in traditional Kashmiri outfits at your own. In the afternoon we visit Nishat Baug – a terraced Mughal garden. Tall chinar trees and colourful flowers adorn the lush green landscape of this garden that also has several beautiful fountains. Followed by a visit to Shalimar Baug – a Mughal garden which built by Mughal Emperor Jehangir for his beloved wife Nur Jahan, around 400 years back.
(Note: During the Tulip season, we will visit the Tulip Garden, as an additional sightseeing in our itinerary.)
Day 5 Srinagar – Katra (2 nights)
Today we fly to Jammu. Upon arrival proceed to Katra – Base point of Vaishnodevi. In the evening, we start the trek of Vaishnodevi Temple, (a total trek of 28 kms).
Day 6 Vaishnodevi – Katra
Today we arrive from Vaishnodevi. Upon arrival we have free time for relaxing and explore the surrounding.
Day 7 Katra – Jammu – Departure from Hometown
It’s time now to say goodbye!
Kashmir Vaishnodevi Tour (IFLY) guests will proceed to Jammu Airport as per the scheduled group flight departure time.
Joining & Leaving (J&L) Tour guests can be dropped at Jammu Airport along with scheduled group or they can have their own arrangements made for the return journey back home.
Kashmir Vaishnodevi Tour concludes with mixed feelings! Happy to have made so many good friends, visited beautiful places and collected joyful memories to be cherished for a lifetime. We leave with a heavy heart as the golden days of the tour come to an end.
