Overview:
Travel to the Himalayan Kingdoms of Sikkim Gangtok and be amazed by picturesque natural beauty, panaromic views of snow-capped mountains interspersed with Buddhist monastries and abundant flora & fauna. The perfect opportunity to enjoy a relaxed break from the hustle & bustle of city life!
Day 1 Bagdogra – Gangtok (4 Nights)
Joining & Leaving (J&L) Tour guests will directly join at Bagdogra Airport as per the scheduled group flight arrival time. J&L Tour guests who have already reached Bagdogra can meet the scheduled group as per the guidelines given by IND Travels Manager.
Upon arrival, IND Travels Manager will meet all tour guests and proceed to Gangtok – a city situated amidst natural beauty. In the evening, all guests will have a short Meet & Greet session.
Day 2 Gangtok
Today we explore Gangtok city, we visit Ranka Monastery, followed by a visit to Banjhakri waterfall. Later we enjoy a Rope Way Ride which gives us a splendid view of Gangtok city. Later we visit Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and Dordul Chorten Stupa. In the evening, we visit the Flower exhibition show, Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok and Tashi View Point.
Day 3 Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake – Gangtok
Today we visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir – a holy shrine honouring Indian army soldier, folk hero and saint Baba Harbhajan Singh. Later we visit Tsomgo lake – a high altitude scenic lake considered to be sacred by the Sikkimese.In the evening, we enjoy the local folk dance.
Day 4 Gangtok – Namachi Village – Gangtok
Today we proceed to Namachi village. Upon arrival, we visit Siddheshwardham temple – popularly known as Chardham temple and Samdrupste statue – the tallest saint statue in the World.
Day 5 Gangtok – Tista River Rafting – Darjeeling (2 Nights)
Today we proceed to Darjeeling – a premier destination and hill station. En route we visit Tista River for a thrilling experience of white water rafting.
Day 6 Darjeeling
Today early morning, we visit Tiger Hill to enjoy sunrise on the Kanchenjunga Ranges. Later we explore Darjeeling city, we visit Battasey loop, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) Zoological Park, Tea Gardens and Tensingh Rock. In the evening, we have free time for shopping.
Day 7 Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Departure to Hometown
It’s time now to say goodbye!
Joining & Leaving (J&L) Tour guests can be dropped at Bagdogra Airport along with scheduled group or they can have their own arrangements made for the return journey back home.
Sikkim Darjeeling Tour concludes with mixed feelings! Happy to have made so many good friends, visited beautiful places and collected joyful memories to be cherished for a lifetime. We leave with a heavy heart as the golden days of the tour come to an end.
